How does a 2 Man Scramble work?
Each two-player team will be assigned a Team Handicap, calculated based on the individual handicaps of both players.
The event will be played as a full scramble, meaning the team will always play from the location of the better shot.
Format Overview:
-
Tee Shots:
-
Both players tee off.
-
The team selects the better of the two shots and marks the spot with a tee peg.
-
-
Ball Placement:
-
Both players may clean and place their ball within one club length of the selected shot.
-
This placement rule applies throughout the course — including in the rough, bunkers, hazards, etc.
-
Important: You must remain in the same type of lie. For example:
-
If the selected ball is in the rough, the placed ball must remain in the rough.
-
If the selected ball is in a bunker, the placed ball must remain in the bunker.
-
-
-
Subsequent Shots:
-
After each shot, the team again selects the better ball, marks the spot, and both players play from within one club length of that location, following the same placement rules.
-
This process continues until the ball is on the green.
-
-
On the Green:
-
Once on the green, players may place their ball within 10 cm of the selected spot.
-
Both players putt, the better result is chosen, and this process is repeated until the ball is holed.
-
Scoring:
-
Final scores should be calculated using Stableford points, adjusted for your Team Handicap on each hole.
